Today in Canada is Bell Let’s Talk Day. A day that is focused on ending the stigma regarding mental health . We need to remember however, that although it’s important to talk about mental health it’s also important to listen.
Today is an important day for me – It’s World IBD Day and it’s something that I normally acknowledge by making a $50 donation to Crohn’s And Colitis Canada but this year I did something different. Every time I used the bathroom today I texted the word flush and it donated $5. A little TMI but today I used the bathroom 14 times. Which isn’t to bad considering some people with Crohn’s go up to 30 time a day! Continue reading
I have lived with Crohn’s, Colitis and Arthritis for 26 years now. Thankfully I’ve had more good than bad years. I think it gets to the point after a while that you also get use to living with a certain amount of pain so maybe that contributes to the good years, I don’t know. What I do know is that I’m very fortunate to have so many supportive people surrounding me.
